Bayer MaterialScience to ramp up TDI, MDI production in Germany

Bayer MaterialScience has plans to construct a TDI (toluene diisocyanate) plant having production capacity of 300,000 tpa and based on its new gas-phase phosgenation process, in Dormagen. Currently, tthe company's Dormagen site has a 200, 000 tpa toluene diamine plant which is used a raw material in TDI.
