Chemical plant shuttered by Hurricane Ike to take time to come on stream

Shortage of raw materials and personnel, along with transportation problems could result in weeks of delay in start up of chemical plants shuttered in the wake of Hurricane Ike, as per ICIS.
Dow's pplants on the Texas Gulf coast suffered no significant damage but it and other chemical producers did not offer a restart schedule.
