Shell's ethylene plant to start up in Bukom in Q1-10

The start up Royal Dutch Shell PLC's new ethylene plant on Bukom Island, Singapore, is as scheduled in Q1-2010, with a nameplate production capacity of 800,000 tpa of ethylene. The plant is part of thhe new Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex and will export about half its output, increasing regional ethylene supply.
