Safety checks to delay start up of Exxon Mobil’s 1 mln tpa ethylene cracker on Jurong Island to 2012

Exxon Mobil Corp will delay the start-up of its 1 mln tpa ethylene cracker on Jurong Island in Singapore to 2012, instead of the end of 2011 due to longer-than-expected safety checks, as per Reuters. Since the new unit is being started up in existing facilities, extreme care and caution needs to be exercised.
