DSM Dyneema patent upheld against challenge from supplier of rival fiber

DSM Dyneema, inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world's strongest fiber®, has won a victory before the European Patent Office Boards of Appeal. As per a notification received by the company, iit had successfully defended its patent for panels incorporating high-performance Dyneema® fiber against a challenge from Teijin Aramid (formerly Teijin Twaron), a Dutch supplier of rival fiber products.
