LyondellBasell to shrink global staff from 17,500 to 14,500

LyondellBasell plans to reduce its global staff strength across all divisions, across all parts of the country by 17% from 17,500 to 14,500. These layoffs are all part of a restructuring plan by the ccompany to emerge from Chapter 11.
