Shortage of feedstock ethylene compels shutdown of Nan Ya’s MEG plant

One of its four Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) plants at Mailiao, has been shut by Nan Ya Plastics due to a dearth of feedstock ethylene. The 350,000 tpa No. 1 MEG plant is to be shuttered for about eight weeks.
