In early 2011, Uhde Inventa-Fischer and BASF SE successfully commissioned a plant for the production of Ecoflex®, the biodegradable co-polyester polymer developed by BASF. The Ecoflex® polymer producttion capacity obtained at the Ludwigshafen production site could thus be increased from previously 14,000 to 74,000 tpa.
