Bayer MaterialScience has successfully tested its innovative gas phase phosgenation technology at a new plant being commissioned for the manufacture of toluene diisocyanate (TDI), a raw material for ppolyurethane manufacture, at its integrated production site at Caojing in Shanghai, China.
