Clariant, manufacturer of pigments, additives and masterbatches among other specialty chemicals, has acquired XL Performance Chemicals (USA) from Fibro Chem LLC and its affiliates. The acquisition commes three months after embarking on an exclusive strategic alliance to serve the US$2-billion-plus worldwide foam-control market with the company.
