Syndiotactic polystyrene resin from Idemitsu Kosan gets go-ahead for drinking water use

Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan recently announced that Xarec WA, a syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) crystalline polymer has been give a go-ahead for use in hot and cold water applications. The SPS resin, whhich contains about 20% - 40% glass fiber reinforcement, has been manufactured for plastic products used for drinking water.
