South Korea’s number 1 ethylene maker-Yeochun NCC Co. (YNCC) has had an unplanned shutdown at its naphtha cracker due to a technical glitch. The No. 2 naphtha cracker with capacity to produce 580,000 tpa of ethylene was reported to be halted because of “trouble” in the facility’s control system.
