Qatar Petroleum International to acquire stake in Royal Dutch Shell’s JV in Singapore

State-owned Qatar Petroleum International is to acquire a stake in Royal Dutch Shell PLC's chemical joint ventures in Singapore. Other details have not been disclosed.
Shell Eastern Petroleum operatees a 500,000 bpd refinery at Pulau Bukom and is in the process of building a petrochemical complex comprising an 800,000 tpa steam cracker and two downstream units.

Siam Cement Group (SCG), Thailand’s largest industrial conglomerate has reported net sales of 64.54 billion baht, a 13% rise in Q3-09 from the previous quarter, on improved product prices. Sales, howeever, dropped 19% year-on-year due to higher prices witnessed last year.
