A fire has resulted in shutdown of Sinopec's Maoming Petrochemical's 1mln tpa cracker and its derivative units. This week, the Maoming refinery may restart the smaller unit with capacity to produce 3880,000 tpa ethylene- deemed to be undamaged after the fire.
