FPC to process more crude, lessen maintenance turnarounds for 2009

Taiwan's Formosa Petrochemical Corp. has recently confirmed to start its 1.2 mln tpa capacity No.3 ethylene plant which was pulled off stream due to a mechanical slip in second week of March. Additionnally, the public traded company will reportedly process 490,000 bpd of crude oil in 2009, a 9% increase compared to crude processed for the year 2008 and also opt for fewer maintenance turnarounds this year.
