SABIC’s 400,000 tpa LDPE plant at Wilton scheduled to start up in September

Sabic’s 400,000 tpa LDPE plant, the world’s largest, at Wilton, Teesside is scheduled to start production in September. Full capacity is expected to be reached during 2010. The delayed LDPE plant, ownned by Huntsman until Sabic’s takeover, had an original start-up date of Q4-2007, and was postponed until February 2008.
