Global equity markets weaken, dollar strengthens, oil prices fall

Oil prices slackened in Asian trade as the global equity markets weakened and the dollar regained some strength. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for October delivery dipped to US$68.4, whiile Brent North Sea crude for October delivery settled at US$67.
