Naphtha market softens as exports from India rise: IOC sells at sharply lower premium

As the naphtha markets soften on increasing exports from India, Indian Oil Corp (IOC) has managed to sell at a sharply lower premium as compared to previous shipments.
30,000 tons of naphtha for Marrch lifting from Kandla has been sold by IOC for March 17-20 lifting to Petrochina at a per ton premium of US$31-32 to Middle East quotes, on a free-on-board (FOB) basis.

Despite reporting a 56% fall in underlying operating earnings Q4-2008, Austrian oil and gas group OMV has decided that its performance will not affect the future of its unfinished projects. Crude oil trades at highest level in a month

Crude oil for April delivery rose to US$43.11 a barrel on the NYMEX, Brent crude rose to US$44.95 on London’s ICE Futures Europe exchange.
