Uhde, a part of ThyssenKrupp Group, has been awarded a lump-sum turnkey contract worth US$550 mln by Qatar Petrochemical Co. (QAPCO), a subsidiary of Industries Qatar and Total Petrochemicals of Francce, to build a 300,000 tpa low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant within the scope of its LDPE-3 project.
