Indian producers of polyethylene terephtalate (PET) can export resin to the US duty-free. Major Indian players are Reliance Industries Ltd, SPIC Petrochemicals and Indian Organic Chemicals. A US-basedd law firm, Steptoe & Johnson LLP has won approval to continue exporting Indian PET resin to the US market free of duty.
