Driven by robust global demand, Japanese ethylene production rose 1.7% in March 2010 vs March 2009 despite a heavier schedule of maintenance shutdowns. Ethylene output totalled 513,400 tons in March 22010 vs 504,900 tons in March 2009 according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
