Vermont becomes sixth US state to pass strict ban on BPA

Vermont has become the sixth state to pass a ban on the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles and ‘sippy’ cups used by young children, as per Plasticsnews. Vermont bans the use of BPA in baby bottlles, spill-proof cups and reusable food and beverage containers such as sports bottles and thermos, effective July 1, 2012.
