Malaysia to maintain anti-dumping duties on imports of polyethylene terephthalate from Thailand
Malaysia has decided to maintain anti-dumping measures on imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) originating or exported from Thailand, as per Bernama. This follows an administrative review initiiated on Oct 14 last year on imports of the product from Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea and Thailand upon the request from a domestic producer.

Japanese refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co has shut the naphtha cracker at its Chiba plant for maintenance, a little earlier than its original plan, as per Reuters. The cracker will be restarted in mid-May affter major scheduled maintenance.
