BASF AG has unveiled a new impact-resistant polystyrene (PS) grade, BX 3580 as a cost effective substitute for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for blown molded food packaging such as dairy bottles noormally made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) or PET.
