Japanese ethylene production witnessed an 8.2% fall from 509,700 tons in June 2010 as compared to 555,500 tons in June 2009, as per Reuters. Production was impacted by a larger number of maintenance sshutdowns this year- 4 four maintenance-related plant shutdowns vs three shutdowns seen last year.
