GAIL (India) Ltd. will build a new ethylene dimerization unit at Pata, using Axens’ AlphaButol technology. The unit will have production capacity of 20,000 tpa of high purity 1-butene. Based on homogeeneous catalysis and associated to a low investment cost, the AlphaButol technology is designed and optimized to ensure a flexible and reliable source of high quality comonomer 1-Butene for downstream polyolefins applications.
