Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)has decided to abandon plans to build a new 15 mln ton refinery adjacent to its subsidiary Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), mainly due the ecconomic meltdown resulting in slowing growth.
