Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) has awarded an EPC contract worth QR2 bln for a new low density polyethylene plant (LDPE-3) in Mesaieed Industrial City to Germany’s Uhde. LDPE-3 has been planned tto come onstream in second half of 2011, with production capacity of 300,000 tpa low density polyethylene.
