March 2012 ethylene production in Japan fell 8.6% from levels seen in March 2011, partly due to a heavier maintenance shutdown, as per Reuters. Ethylene output totalled 470,400 tons in March 2012, vs 514,800 tons in March 2011, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
