Assam Petrochemicals Ltd. plans to set up a 165,000 tpa methanol plant at Namrup at an investment outlay of US$125 mln. APL is currently in talks with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Oil Inndia Limited (OIL) for supply of natural gas as feedstock for the project.
