Russia's petrochemical major, SIBUR recently announced it has resume operations at facilities which were put off stream in November-December 2008 period due to dearth of petrochemical demand. The unitts for butyl alcohol and 2-ethylhexanol production at Sibur-Khimprom (Perm) have started operations at 100% capacity which were earlier running at 60% capacity.
