Aromatics Oman’s project at Sohar Industrial Port is currently under commissioning, and all phases are expected to be completed for commercial operation by December 2009. The project contractor is GSEE&C and Axens is the technology provider at the plant planned with capacity to produce 819,000 tons of paraxylene and 198,000 tons of benzene along with Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Light Naphtha, Raffinates and Heavy Aromatics.
