Houston metropolitan region has received nearly US$962 mln in contracts to bolster local law enforcement, aid hurricane victims and protect the cornerstones of the local economy, as per chron.com. Amoong the biggest beneficiaries, according to a Houston Chronicle analysis, are the 52-mile Houston Ship Channel and Bush Intercontinental Airport.
