WorleyParsons awarded contract to complete preliminary engineering services on first phase of Taweelah project

Australian company, WorleyParsons is to complete preliminary engineering services on a first phase of the US$20 billion (Dh73.47bn) chemical complex at Taweelah.
The Chemaweyaat complex, which is beiing built by a consortium comprising International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), the Abu Dhabi Investment Council and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), will have a naphtha unit and will produce up to 7 mln tpa of diversified chemicals, including plastics and base chemicals, when it comes online in 2013.
