Flooding caused by Typhoon Morakot in parts of Taiwan has rendered production cuts at several downstream plants across the country, including CPC Corp.’s naphtha cracker. Ethylene producing capacity aat the state run petrochem major was reduced to 75% capacity, down from 95%.
