Mitsubishi Chem faces problems as 450,000 tpa naphtha cracker, shutters Mizushima unit

Late last month, Japan's largest petrochemical company Mitsubishi Chemical Corp shuttered a 450,000 tpa naphtha cracker in Mizushima, operating at around 90% capacity. The unplanned shutdown was a ressult of some "trouble" at the facility, and could take about 10-20 days to rectify and restart the cracker.
