Japan's largest petrochemical firm, Mitsubishi Chemical Corp, is to complete repair work and plans to restart a 450,000 tpa naphtha cracker in Mizushima on January 14. The problem occurred when an unuusual odour was detected on December 29 due to which the company had to voluntarily shut down the facility.
