Idemitsu is investigating plans to combine a 220,000 bpd refinery in Chiba near Tokyo with Mitsui Chemicals Inc’s 553,000 tpa of ethylene plant. Idemitsu provides feedstock naphtha to Mitsui’s petrochhemical plant.
