Kuwait plans to complete its US$6 bln joint venture refinery in Vietnam as planned on track. The US$6 bln Nghi Son petrochemical complex is the largest project of its type in Vietnam. It will be operaational in 2013 and will have a refining capacity of 200,000 bpd Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), the international arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), established the joint venture in April 2008 with PetroVietnam, as well as Japanese firms Idemitsu Kosan Co.
