Benzene and styrene prices in Europe have moved down in tandem with cheaper naphtha and weak demand. Following the 20% fall in the September benzene contract to €576/ton, styrene monomer (SM) fell 9% to €874/ton, cushioning the blow from the €80/ton ethylene rise.
